Introduction to Zero Suicide in Kansas

Zero Suicide is a framework for healthcare and behavioral healthcare settings to implement safer suicide care practices at a systemic level. This framework aims to eliminate deaths by suicide. Participants will learn about each of the 7 elements of the Zero Suicide framework and the tools that are available to assist with implementation. 

This course is not intended to replace a Zero Suicide Academy or similar training. Participants will only learn the basic concepts of the model as opposed to taking a deep-dive into each element. This course is sponsored by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).
